I have an area of 1.840 (L) x 1.000 (W) x 0.80 (H). I wonder if any one is able to give me a rough idea of the number of sharp sand handy bags I might need, the type you get from travis perkins or b&q
There are between 60 and 80 bags per cubic metre depending on whose calculations you use. Assuming your measurements are in metres, are you sure you have the right depth (H) measurement. It shows .80 which is about 2ft 6in.
If that's correct you'll need between 88 and 117 (better to buy jumbo bags or even better, loose).
If you meant the depth to be .08 (about 3 inches) then go for 10 bags.
Would like to thank every one for there replys. I will look at my measurements again cos, yes it does seem rather a lot of sharp sand for the size of area.
