Spooky that someone has just bagged that topic subject name.

Anyway - to clear up any misconceptions, by ban all sheds I mean this:

not this:

so....

I want to buy a shed (or wooden outbuilding if you prefer), about 8.5m x 3m from a company who will do bespoke tweaking to their basic designs (e.g. I want a dividing wall in the middle to create what would be a pair of semi-detached sheds 4.25m x 3m, I want the roof extended at one end to cover a verandah, and I want to choose door & window sizes & positions).

I did think I'd found a supplier http://www.warwickworkrooms.co.uk/ but recent events have left me with no confidence in them as a company I would like to do business with.

What I'm asking here is for anybody who has a bit of time to spare to look at the specs of Warwick Buildings construction http://www.warwickworkrooms.co.uk/page.php?sitemap_id=76 and to suggest other suppliers I could look at.

Yes (1), I know that in an ideal world I should build my own, but were that to become the plan then Mrs Sheds would ensure that the groundworks included a 2m deep hole, about 2m x 1m, under the shed and you'd never hear from me again, so I'm looking for advice from people who know of commercial wooden outbuilding suppliers to consider.

Yes (2) - I am prepared for the cost of a good quality building of that size to run into £'000s.

in general if you have a veranda you have a raised platform then you need planning
do you want to go the planning route ??

"verandas, balconies or raised platforms" all refer to constructions which are more than 300mm AGL.

This sort of thing is not what is meant by "No verandas, balconies or raised platforms"

you had better check with your council then it is definitely a raised platform but its not my opinion or your opinion that matters its theres

where do your quotes come from ??
bet its the "sheds " web site
and i bet theres a check with your local council disclaimer

i made my own so never really looked at suppliers
but you know i made my own shed any way

Try AB timber products. They are based in Chesterfield, but I believe they deliver and install across the UK. They made and installed a shed for me a few years ago and I was very impressed by all aspects of their service. I think they make everything to order and really seemed to know their stuff so should be able to follow your exact spec. You should be able to find them easily online.

You can see more of their stuff on their ebay shop, name "AB-Timber-Products-Ltd".

blimey ban its two years old lol
the regs just state a raised platform it does not state it must be less than 300mm
it just says a raised platform
the 300 is the maximum for decking or other structures quite separate to a shed or similar in height where the walking or standing on height will be 300mm or less
you may be correct but often there is no way off telling how planning will interperit it lol
