Shed Roof

Just got the new shed built and waterproofed along with a couple of coats of Ronseal. She looks nice.


The roof is already felted, I was thinking of battening the roof over the felt and using some feather edge board.

Has anyone done this, What do you think and will it work okay.

I am thinking you mean feather edge as facia type strips to cover the ends of the felt- ......not actually a secondary roofing layer...?

Nail feather edge to roof? If you knock nails in your roof it will leak.

it will make it a nightmare to re-felt should you need too.

feather edge by its nature will reduce the effective roof slope by about half so throw more reliance on the felt as primary protection
