'Shocking' rise in school suspensions for racist, ableist and homophobic abuse

To whoever reported a posts or posts of mine in Elsa TLC's Environment thread.

That topic was an excellent example of how it is possible for me and others to disagree on things, and to discuss and argue those differences of opinion without anybody going off the rails, or breaking any rules.

I hope you are proud of what you did.

I got home about 9.30pm, the last post by me was the picture of the EA dredging the River Parrett, I got home expecting to carry on the debate I was surprised to see your posts gone.

Whilst in the last 12 months I've started to report antisemitism and personal abuse against me (and will continue to do so) on this occasion it wasn't me.

FWIW although your posts on there were nonsense, I see no reason why they should have been deleted or indeed reported.

A different culture entirely to us, we must excuse this behavior on the grounds that they don't know any better and it is normal behavior for them. The UK is sadly lacking in catching up on multiculure acceptance. Well done to the teachers at this school for sticking up for the less fortunate and acknowledging and accepting that these savages have equal rights and must go about their savagery unhindered.
Been going on for years. This is an old post of mine for something that happened years ago.

Once, about 12 years ago when I was working for someone else, we had a Romanian Gypsy student join our training centre. He hadn’t long been in the country, a matter of months I believe. He showed absolutely no interest and was a rude, sullen git. He wasn’t there more than a week when he smacked another student over the head with an iron bar. I slung him out. Of course there was a big kerfuffle with the local authority who wanted him to be reinstated. A meeting was arranged with me, the local authority, the student, his mother and an interpreter for them to plead their case for him to return. During the meeting his mother garbled something to the interpreter explaining his actions and lack of interest. Apparently, in his community only the women worked. The men did not so they could see no reason why he should be learning anything. I called an end to the meeting there and then. Even the LA were taken aback.

Don't you worry too much.
Himmy gets most of my posts removed... ;)

Wasn't that long ago that the same applied here, with the sexes reversed. People didn't see why girls should be educated either.

Less than 40 years ago, 48% of people in this country agreed that a man’s job is to earn money and a woman’s is to look after the home and family.

Smacking someone over the head with an iron bar? Should be locked up.

But you can't really criticise an individual young man for the traditional, conservative, sex-based role divisions in his society which were taught him from birth.

That'll teach you to leave the old scaffold pole lying about.
