I have a uPVC door which was stuck shut last night. I assumed it was the heat. I tried to open the door this morning and it was still stuck. There was give but on the the bolts was clearly still enagaged. Eventually I managed to get it open and discovered that one of the shoot bolts isn't retracting fully when the door handle is pulled down.
I have found replacement parts but am wondering if anyone with experience can tell me if the existing lock is probably unsalvagable if I take it apart -- perhaps oiling it will help? Thanks in advance.
