Should a flue on pitched roof be vertical?

We have recently had a repair to our roof (pitched roof) around the flue for our gas fire. Prior to this the flue was vertical but now it is at an angle - see picture. Is this right ? Can it be angled like this or should it be absolutely vertical?

It should be vertical, I would be wary of roofers messing about with flues, something must have been adjusted or misaligned or something if it was vertical before.
