Should my stringers be C16 or C24 graded timber

Hi,

Building a new staircase and having a debate with myself about whether the stringer timber should be graded to C16 or C24. I know C24 is better quality but is it going to make any real difference?

The cost is so minimal, id always go with C24. Straighter wood, less knots and stronger.

Depends on your supplier, if your supplier stocks C24 then they'll charge you about the same for C16, but most cheap suppliers don't stock C24.
