Perceived wisdom is never to fight on two fronts, but we're doing that anyhow. To add yet another would be foolhardy in the extreme. Taking out the altruistic aspect, what has that situation got to do with us? I make the same comment in respect of Iraqistan as well, I would add.

Our forces are already stretched to the limit and too much is asked of them as it is. Let someone else poke their national nose in, should they so chose.

if i had my way our troops would never leave these shores to sort out other people troubles ,ask the french germans spain or italy, they have took plenty out of africa, so now put something back  we wish them all well in there task

Our troops would find it hard dancing in those boots of theirs

Seeing as are troops are stretched to the limit at the moment, recruiting numbers are low, equipment for front line use,, lacking to say the least, and the number of personell leaving the forces is probably at an all time high, I think it would be stupid and unwise.... But if we had no choice and had to send people to the Congo,,,well,, there are currently 646 useless a**e-holes in Parliament who would just love to go (not)... That number would be enough for a Batallion, well,,, make that a "Pratallion". Send them out,,,, put Mandelson in as well, that'll make it an "odd" number,,, with Brown, leading from the front, and yep,, Mandelson bringing up the rear,,, :? let them see what it's like roughing it and risking their lives for a pittance, instead of "troughing" it. Our troops have enough on their plate.

Roughcaster.

Then add all the useless a**e holes in local goverment.

Their combined disagrement would go down well in a foreign country, and they may well get shot.

Bring the troops home. We need some one to protect our borders and stop all these dam imigrants getting in.

i suppose we could recruit from Napol, then send then back HOME when they have done 22 years services,THEN add insult to injury and let no- marks from the EEC take up residency in there place :?

I suppose we could just stand back and let them get on with and sort it out till the next time

As Britain is a leader (number one in 2008) in exporting arms, perhaps they have vested interest in keeping conflicts bubbling along.

Maybe not us but pressure should be brought quickly for a UN force to be sent in that is not toothless, anyone who has seen the film Hotel Rwanda would i think agree after the horrendous numbers killed and what they did to each other there
