Now is the time

I remember visiting a Cave a vin in Malastroit, Brittany, 4 years ago.

I took my own 2 litre bottle which filled up with a decent Merlot: cost about €4

Im no fan of champagne, I do think there are much better English sparkling wines. I live only a half hour from Denbies vineyard whifh do some really nice wines.

I generally prefer brie to camembert.

or go to Beaujolais and buy surplus appellation controlee "flurie" for €4. Result.

or a particularly fine 2009 Right bank pomerol. smooth! (that's not from the Beaujolais region I know)

Edit: fleurie...(flowery) I think?

Buy it as soon as you can - the stuff they sell over here is hardly ever ripe enough (just like Camembert and Brie). Just like those you may need to keep it out of the fridge for a few days.

And don't get old or very young or pregnant - Reblochon is made with raw milk.

Pont-l'Évêque is another good one.

try epiosses, smells awful, tastes nice.

That all said, the UK produces more cheese varieties of cheese than France

Load of nonsense imho the UK has always served up better grub. Than the French
Look at the cultured well thought out grub we do

Fish and chips

Deep fried batterd mars bars

Mushy peas

Bacon rolls

Pasties

Ect ect

French  they should all be deported from the UK and macron told to go and do one

Ha ha, yeah, the UK has such divine cuisine! Mmmmm... jellied eels, black pudding, haggis, toad in the hole, laverbread... :-)

What's wrong with black pudding? Lovely just don't think what it's made of, besides loads of other countries have a version of it, notably, France, Germany, Spain , Portugal, Italy, USA.

When it's over a tenner over here, yes.
But in future don't forget to add in the visa costs and extra health insurance...

Not to mention the extra costs due to the devaluation of the pound...

Oh, and the fact that you won't be able to import beyond those non EU/WTO limits...

Not such a 'bargain', eh

Just pointing out the bleeding obvious that those with their heads in the sand seem to be happy to ignore :)

They won't be able to ignore it for long if things go the way they would like.

And I can promise you that those of them who frequent this place are going to be violently unreceptive to having it pointed out that they wanted and voted for the bleedin obvious.
