Shower arm extension

Hi, I am fitting an ensuite with a recessed shower valve and two shower outlets. One a rain head up high and a secondary shower outlet near the valve. Anyway I set my backplate elbows correctly in the wall. Now the tiler has tiled, he has built the tiles out further than anticipated and now I am 15mm - 20mm short of screwing the shower arms into my backplates. ny solutions or fittings anyone knows of? Can I buy 1/2 male - 1/2 female couplings.?
