Shower bulb

I am trying to change the bulb in my shower fitting - without success.

Any ideas -

1. what sort of bulb this is

2 how do I change it?

Now sorted - bulb has come apart when removing - leading to confusion. Pity no one else realised this so they could help me.

I just came across this post, and realised what had happened straight away. I was about to take pity and comment, when I read this, and thought, nah. Its a 12 volt halogen lamp, by the way. I also bet it has a circlip retaining ring. And its not nessecary to remove it from the ceiling to change the lamp.
