Shower Cable Selector

with regard to electricity nothing "will do" it is better safe than sorry, which is why i said use the bigger cable

electricity has no prejudices it kills any one

For breezer

Forget it, I'll ask someone who is familiar with IEE regulations, not someone who merely scare-mongers.

For anyone.

Does anyone know whether IEE regulations pertaining to minimum cable requirements for electric showers are available on the web?

i do not "scare-monger" i merely state facts, but i have no objection if you want a 2nd opinion, just don't be so rude about it

Yeah go with the 10mm, like breezer said better safe than sorry.
And if you're worried about scaremongering why are you doing it yourself and not paying someone to do it properly?
Anyone who answers on here gives their own experience/knowledge, if you don't like it, why ask ??
P.S. Read the fitting instructions supplied with shower (doh!) they tell you what to do.

I have just joined this forum, and the reason I joined was because the answer breezer gave was reasonable but the response from PC ( who isn't P.C. in the least ) was absolutely despicable.
I am just about to fit a new electric shower and bought 6mm cable based on the info on the shower box, but felt uneasy about it. Something in the back of my mind said use a 10mm cable. PC use a 6mm cable if you Want the fire brigade to call sometime soon, and ignore the advice of people who are trying to help you just because that is what this forum is for... sorry had to delete last due to membership disclaimer.

welcome aboard mboschuk 8) i think that PC will not be back as he didn't seem to like being told the facts

Thats a shame Breezer as I was going to help him put his toys back in his pram
