on a shower run consisting of 10mm, does anybody regularly put 6mm from switch to shower, if less than say 2feet????

depends on power rating of shower, what size the MCB is etc

Why bother to confuse someone and change to 6mm for the short run, unless you have a shower which has crap terminals that you cant terminate a 10mm
