I own a 11x6m log cabin, and one feature of this construction is the exterior walls grow and shrink over the season, which means pipes, window apertures, stud walls, etc must take this into account.

It is all wired and plumbed including a large washroom, to which I want to install a shower. The less impact it has on the existing wall, the better. Can you get an enclosure which is fully self supporting and just sits on the floor? I was looking at shower pods but am not sure if they work this way, or are self-contained but still have to be affixed to a supporting wall?

Thanks.

We had one in a b and b we stayed in. Literally free standing, you could move it with light shove. Seemed to work though.

It mainly just looks and perhaps maintenance/repair, depending on access to fittings within it.
