shower goes hot and cold

No.I am no electrician or plumber hence why the title says "DIYnot".
Do I then take the cover off and the switch will be in there, right?.We have not touched anything.It has a switch outside the room.
There are knobs on the front one for pressure and one for temperture.We usually have it one number 7 and the pressure as high.

take the cover off and look at the bottom tco
is the cables burnt or blackened at all ?
