Shower handle won't turn

Hi, our shower handle has become increasingly difficult to turn and I can't figure out why. It's the same as the below link brings you to - please can you advise what we need to buy / change or if I should just call a plumber to help?! Thank you

Go showerdoctor .com You can e-mail them with your problem and even upload a pic of your shower. They will look into it for you and suggest what you need to buy. Please tell them they were recommended on diynot. Even if you decide to get a plumber in, it would be handy to have the part ready for him.
