Hi,

I'm in the middle of fitting a new shower room. This is essentially a downstairs shower room which will seldom be used for showering. ( more just for the toilet).

Anyway, having tiled showers UN the past, I have never applied a membrane to the walls. Just the usual adhesive and grout straight onto the plasterboard wall. However, the tiles supplier has recommended I Tank the walls. Looking at the price of the materials for this, I'm just wandering if it's a ploy to get more cash from me. Or he may have a point?

What's your thoughts?

Oh, and this is the tile I intend to use.
Thanks in advance!
