Hi all, I am looking to fit shower panels to a plastered wall, should i use silicone, grab adhesive, frame sealant or even the showr panel manufacturers super expensive brand of adhesive? Any input gratefully received thank you

Are you talking about wet board? Not an actual shower panel?

Any decent silicone adhesive/grab/etc will do the job. it it the honeycomb or the ply backed? Obviously one is much heavier, so plan accordingly.

Hi thanks for the response. They are all plastic panels, gloss plastic on the front, Matt on the back

They are a box construction between the plastic outsides if that helps. Brand is splash panel

Yes, that'll be the honeycomb one, rather than the solid plywood backed.

Won't need as much adhesive as it's lighter.

Solvent free is recommended as the plastic can be melted by the solvents in some of the grab adhesives.

Cheap solvent free stuff from Toolstation stuck mine on - 10 years ago and still there.

You'll probably invalidate the warranty if you don't use the manufacturer's own adhesive, but if you're ok with that then use whatever you like. I generally use Sticks Like Sh*t
