Hi,
Just wondered what a typical flow rate would be with a 1.5 bar twin pump?

What would you expect from the pipes? Shower hose? and shower head? to be satisfactory?

I think I was getting about 9 litres per minute direct from the pipes which I think is very low? (22mm pipes reduced to 15mm just before the pump).

Cheers

It depends on what you call satisfactory.
Most manufacturers publish performance figures for their pumps, often in the form of a graph with a negative curve.

Superimpose the flow rate /pressure curve for your shower on the graph for the pump output, and the expected performance should be at the point the two curves cross.

If you want to up the pump spec. to deliver, say, 20 Litres per minute, have you considered how long it will take to exhaust a hot water cylinder containing, say 90 litres of hot water?
