Shower Pump Making Noise

In the last couple of days our pump for the shower has started making a terrible noise. It still works and the noise doesn't stop whenever the shower is on.

It is a NP50 and is c6 years old.

Any thoughts on the problem?

sounds like the bearing or shaft is wearing on one of the ends.

Is this something a plumber can do or do we need to get a specialist?
