I have recently installed a shower with a salamander 2 bar shower pump the installation is correct, but when using the shower the pump stops when the mixer tap is central i.e 50% hot 50% cold. I have fitted non-return valves on the pump outlet but this hasn't helped. any ideas?

Yes have fitted isolation valves on the inlet side of the pump, and recently had a plumber in to carry out other work and he checked the install and confirmed it was ok, have a surrey flange fitted to the hot water cylinder supplying the hot side and a tap of the main water tank in the loft supplying the cold side.

yes i would say so they are restricting the supply.
remove one and look up the hole, the hole is not 15mm.
you need to keep your supply as large as you can or your pump will be pumping and your supply can't cope.
