Shower unit leaking when on

Ive recently moved into a new place and have noticed this. My shower is an electric Aqualisa Aquastyle. It is leaking when on where i have circled it. And also has these stains on it. Not sure on how old it is however its yellow instead on white so guessing its quite old. What could be the problem?

Also when i moved in the water would be hot but now no matter what temp i put it on its coming out luke warm. My water is hard water. Again whats the problem?

Leak could come from a number of places within the shower unit.
Could possibly the pressure switch as they can leak and if you have lukewarm water that would point to a heating element fault.

I suspect the shower is of an age where repairing (labour/parts) is no longer economical and like for like replacement would be recommended.
