Hi,

I am in the process of redoing my bathroom.

I am replacing the bath with a shower however the old bath waste outlet come in above the floor boards.

Therefore to use this the shower would need to be raised by around 15cm. Meaning a step of around 25cm. Would that look wrong?

Alternatively I would need to put a new pipe through the wall and cut about holes into 5 support beams to run the pipe. Is this achievable?

Any suggestions. The raised shower seems a far easier idea but wouldn't mind seeing some pictures of what this would look like.

Ideally you will need access to the shower trap, So I would raise the tray to allow an access panel below the tray.

Otherwise you would be looking at cutting a hole in the ceiling below to gain access a few years down the line when your tray starts to drain slowly.

The apartment below might object to that :)

Might be best to raise the floor then.
