Shower waste / hepvo connection

Folks,

This is probably a silly question, but are there fittings available to connect a 40mm waste pipe directly to a shower waste outlet? The only fittings I have seen with the 'correct' connection to a waste outlet are conventional traps. I don't want to fit a trap directly to the shower waste - I want to fit a pipe directly to it and then have a hepvo valve in line in an accessible position a foot or so away from the tray.

you can get a fitting to fit to a waste outlet to solvent pipe without a trap.
but whats wrong with a shower trap ?
as hepvo can be a pain on horizontal runs as they can block more the a shower trap and traps are accessable from the tray.
