Hi.I am thinking to have new shower installed.It has to be electric or from combi boiler.if electric is better route then what make and power rating i should look for .Which system is aconomical to run long term.

Electric isn't necessarily better, as both would be susceptible to other demands for water while you are showering, but a combi can achieve a higher flow rate for a given rise in water temperature.

A combi. No, the electric. No, the, er, combi. No, I was right the second time - the electric. Or the combi. Then again, it could be the electric. Combi. Electric, er, combi, er, er, oh how the f*** do I know.
 
generally gas is a cheaper way of heating stuff than electricity (unless you count heat pumps) and this is unlikely to change in the near future (it will only change if we stop building more and more gas fired power stations).
