Hi

To maximise all available space at the side of my house, would it be practical to build a side extension with the front wall extending out 4.3m from the existing property and the rear wall extending out 5.5m?

Reason being that at the side, the boundary tapers out so I have an extra 1.2m at the back than I do at the front

Would this cause any issues for a builder and roofer when building such a design (rather than a traditional square build)?

Many thanks

Yes it's perfectly practical but you'd best stick to a flat roof. Subject to PP or PD

There are builders out there who can build tapering extensions when the drawings call for rectangular.

Build it square. Tapering buildings are a pain, throughout their entire existence.
