Hi guys. Just modernised my kitchen and had a horrible brown and cream timer on the wall(cant remember make and model, maybe honeywell). I took it to screwfix and was advised to fit a Siemans RWB2E as a replacement. I have tried every configuration of wiring but cant get the hot water to come on independantly to the central heating its either both or nothing. I even took the cable out of the terminal and put it directly onto the Live terminal but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated as heating bills getting higher

You need to remember which timer you removed.

And tell us which wires went where.

Oh and one small thing... don't talk to the wombles in screwfix :!:

Did your old timer allow independant control of heating and hot water?
Does your heating system configuration support independant controls?

Older systems were not equipped with the motorised valve(s) etc. required for independant control of heating and water.
