Siemens WXLS140GB keeps pumping

I replaced the pump on my Siemens WXLS140GB but now the display reads "bereit" (German for READY) and the pump just keeps pumping no matter what setting. Start button does not seem to make a difference and is not lighting.

Any ideas?

Does anyone know a reset sequence for this machine?

Left the machine unplugged overnight and the problem seems to have cured itself.
