links to forum topics or diynot wiki should perhaps be allowed, just incase a topic is repeatedly asked about. In other forums in the past I've written faq type posts and linked hem in my sig so I could just say "see the XYZ link in my signature" without having to paste a link in to a topic that discusses XYZ every time. I had a discreet series of TLAs in my sig for people to click if they'd asked a well trodden question
