Hi,

Have upvc ventilated soffits front and back that the previous owner had sealed over the vent slots using some cloaking fillet using a zig zag bead of silicone.

When we removed the fillet the silicone stayed on the soffit between the vent slots and looks a bit of a mess.

Never used the Silicone Removers so wondered if it would be any use in this situation as its not in an area that we can spend ages scrapping away or if these removers are safe for upvc ?

At the same time some of the removers seem quiet costly , though no idea of how far they woud treat ? eg about 14 mtrs to do !

Would it be simpler to just replace the soffit boards which cost about £90 ?

Also the silicone remover is acetone and or MethylEthylKeytone, which will also soften the soffit
