Hello all

Apologies for the simpleness of this question, I'm sure I'm just being a bit thick but......

Can someone please tell me how to remove the front cover of my Alpha C23 boiler??

The lights are currently flashing red, indicating there is a problem (it's not coming on and I've no hot water or heating). The bookelt suggest I re-pressurise using the instructions on the inside of the cover but I can see no obvious way to remove it.

Please help

Thanks.

Dont know the boiler but it might mean 'inside the drop down cover'.

Thanks for the reply.

I have posted a pic on the net (link below), do I literally just pull this and it should pop open/flip down?

Thanks again

grab the upper part of the cover (the large part above the controls) and try sliding it upwards.

this is a guess ;)

Hi again

i have now got the cover off - there was two screws hidden by two screw covers staring right in the face. Dunces cap for me.

Anyway there were no instructions inside the cover as to how to re-pressurise the system. Just to reapeat - the boiler aint coming on, ive no hot water or central heating.

I have posted some pictures of the inside of the boiler (sorry fpr the poor quality). can you have a look and perhaps give some guidance ast o what i should do to try and fix my problem.

Thanks in advance for any help received:

I think we may need the expertise of Paul Barker for such a difficult problem!

I tell trainees that it can sometimes take longer to get the case off than to fix the fault.

Until Paul finishes his long day mending Alpha boilers have you looked on the FAQ on this site to see if you have a filling loop?

Tony

Sweet - located the Filling loop and now we're cooking on gas again - well technically heating and washing up on gas. (that was lame, apologies)

Anyway - after turning both control valves and hearing the water gloriously swooshing into the system my boiler is now back from the dead.

Appreciate the help Tony (and Bster) - what an extremely useful site, and is now firmly in my favourites.

Cheers guys!!!!!

Of course - big up to 'chrishutt' and KevPlumb (I'm assuming) for the Wiki article.

Top marks!!!!
