single leaf wall piers

Hi all,

I am having single leaf blockwork done for my garage this week and I am trying to establish how many piers the guy should be puting in. The garage is to be 3.3m wide x 6.3m long. I think he mentioned that it would be 1 pier halfway on each wall and the front wall with the door would be laid on edge ie 225mm. Does that sound right ? I have tried building regs but they have told me they are not interested as the development doest fall into criteria for them.
