Sorry if this seems a stupid question .....

Virtually all the images I see of single lever kitchen taps show the lever on the RIGHT.

e.g. https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/taps/kitchen-taps?FT=5316,5302&filtSeq=Tap Head,Tap Type&Sort=BS

Are there any problems with installing with the lever on the LEFT? I guess the levers are designed to be pulled forward (like this Franke tap) - and that if used on the right they might need to be pushed back and this would not be good.

Can the lever be easily used on the left (and still pull the lever forward)?

Yes of course, you can put the tap anyway you like as long as the spout swivels 360deg. The mono levers normally pull outwards to turn on and then left to right for hot to cold.
