How far must the back of a single oven be from the gas piping to my hob. My present oven is 53 cm depth and 30cm away from piping. How much closer can it be. Or can anybody recommend a shallow depth oven besides Caple.

It would be an issue if the rear of the cooker where gas pipe gets hot, over than that I don't see a problem with them touching, but read the manufacturer's instruction for recommendations.
But if the gas pipe is 30cm (12") you have plenty of space to play with!
