Hi.
This is my first post here. . . And of course, it ain't straight forward .
In my kitchen, the sink is set into the work surface, up against the outside wall, under a window. . When we moved in & fitted a new dishwasher I remember I could just squeeze my head back enough to see behind the back board under the sink & see, horror of horrors it's only single skin under the window. . I can't remember if the inner & outer skins of the the walls to either side were sealed / closed either. .
There are a couple pipes running horizontally from the sink out through the single skin . . Taking out the whole kitchen work surface & laying in an inner course of brickwork would be the ideal, , but , , ah hem . muchos time & money consuming.
So, my question is, could I just fill the whole void with some expanding foam ? . Boff ! Job done ?
