I've got a single skin store room at the back of the house 4.4m x 2.2m and the room is accessed through a door in the kitchen. There is a toilet and a sink in the store room already and I'm planning to install a shower. The rest of the house has cavity walls.

The room gets cold in the winter so I want to improve the walls? An option is to build a cavity block wall but its a lot of work digging out the foundations etc.

How about a wooden cavity wall using 4x2? Would this still require foundations or can it sit on the existing concrete floor?

Obviously I could just slap some insulated plasterboard to the single skin wall but I'd like to look at other options before I make a decision.

Thanks

Just treat it like you would a garage conversion. So battens then rigid insulation then foil backed plasterboard. No need to mess around rebuilding stuff.
