There's nothing stopping you, 'cept maybe part p, but as to whether you'll have problems, I don't know.

thanks for the reply secure,
the sockets in my living room are all single and im wanting to change to double because of the number of appliances i now have. ill obviously need to knock out some plaster to fit bigger back boxes but wanted to check that i was allowed to go to doubles before commencing.
