Sink on pedestal

Hi

When you fit a sink on the pedestal bit do you put anything between the 2 bits to stop the 2 surfaces touching..

I think its 50/50 - i've got my sink on the pedestal - then used a bit of sealant to tidy it.

if you dont want the sink and pedestal to touch, then simply use a bit of sealant along the top of the pedestal - allow to dry, then install - this would prevent any rubbing/chipping.

You dont need anything, having nothing between them won't damage or chip anything (as long as your not too heavy handed of course).
