Ok …you didn’t say that ! it’s probably no good …replace full unit as it will be cheaper in the long run ….a battery is going to cost around a third of a complete unit which will come with a warranty
plus postage,
need the full picture to best advise.
I certainly would replace the whole bellbox.
In terms of bell cut off times, its been around a very long time, had to check how long;-
