Hi,

I've just replaced the type D batteries in the external Siren Box after nearly 2.5 years after installation. The Siren warning beeps were going off after arming the alarm, indicating low batteries. No probs I thought! Anyway, after about 3 hours the Siren goes off without the alarm being armed. The control pad siren is silent and there is no "Alarm, Alarm, Alarm" on the display. Only the external siren seems to be going off for no reason. This morning I set the alarm, everything seemed ok. Came back from work in the afternoon and the external siren was going off, but not the control pad siren and no alarm warning on the display panel??? Any ideas anyone???

I would say its due to the lid or siren base being disturbed and allowing the siren tamper switches to activate.

Just check the base is securely screwed to the wall and the plugs haven't pulled out or that the lid is correctly screwed on.
