Size paint brush?

Good evening folks, I have just renewed the spindles and handrail on my stairs, also the backmoulds and skirting. Whilst i am not new to painting am wondering what the best size paint brush is to paint them, normally i use a 1.5 inch brush for all me "gloss" work, but find it slow to cut in along the tops of the skirting and the sides of backmoulds.

All depends on the size of skirting etc. roughly go for something that covers just over half the skirting when cutting in. 1.5 inch i find good for the spindles.

I always use a 1.5 inch brush, for any brush work. I suppose it's whatever you're most comfortable with
