Hi guys,
This weekend I am going to be laying some slabs to use as a foundation for a shed. The hardcore is already down and compacted. I will be laying the slabs on a bed of mortar.

Should I leave a grout line or lay the tiles butted up against each other?
If I should leave a ground line, should I fill it with grout or sand.

Im thinking it best to lay the slabs against each other to save grouting as its only a foundation, but I dont know what effect, if any, rain will have on the mortar underneath the slabs as it will no doubt leak through the joins.

What do you guys think?
Thanks

What solution gives you the size of base that you want without cutting slabs? The shed won't care if there are small gaps between slabs or not. There shouldn't be any rain water under the shed.
