Hi
Just hoping if someone might help me, I have a sliding patio door, installed in 1992 with Regent handles, the cylinder/barrel spring has broken, when the key is in it just turns and turns, because the doors are so old I have been told a replacement cylinder lock will be £115 is this right also the locksmiths I went tried to see if there were replacements handles with a lock for my door, they said no replacements suitable.
Does anybody know of anyone who might have old patio doors anywhere?
Also I bought a lock suitable for a sliding door because of the very expensive price for the cylinder, but, I am not sure where I should put it, as the instructions are not very clear, the door that slides open slides from the right to the left and slides open on the outside. I think most patio doors open on the inside.
My fixed side is on the left and the side that opens liked I said goes fron right to left.
Can anybody help on any of the above.
