Hi

I'm looking for a bit of help - I've recently moved into my new house and on going to decorate, I've noticed the walls in quite a few of the rooms have this sort of effect to them:

It's quite faint and the depth is really minimal, but under certain light, it's very noticeable and quite off-putting.

What would be the best way to fix something like this? In my limited knowledge of all DIY, I thought about just getting some of that putty stuff to put over it, sand it down and paint over. Unless there is an easier way?

Thanks

The ultra lightweight fillers do that sort of stuff very well. Wickes do one.
