Slow filling toilet

Wonder why that is. Even on the video it says it fixes 7 out of 10 times.

They are identical but somehow they don't work.

Float seems to be fouling the cistern, can you twist it at all?

When i have had a curry, i would say that my toilet is very fast at filling up!!! Ewwwww...

right so I replaced the whole thing with a flomasta. Had to take the cistern off as the valve flow bolt was recessed under the cistern and near impossible to access.

Put everything back, checked for leaks and cistern was filling up properly and float worked.

BUT no sooner had I screwed everything back together, when I flush and it fills up water is heading straight into the bowl as well as cistern.

Aaaaagh. Could the flush also be at fault? What else could it be?

Float is now gone and replaced with flomasta. Now on to the next problem.

You've probably disturbed the flush valve and the seal is now leaking.
You can change just the bottom washer but it's a cistern out job.

Yes probably should have done that at the same time. I might get lucky and just be able to replace the flush cartridge. For the time being I’ve flipped the washer over.

Just updating this. I flipped the rubber gasket on the flush cartridge and got it all working.
