Installed a free standing bath with the bath mixer tap on the wall. The feed for the tap is 15mm as this is the size of the connecter on the mixer tap. I have 22mm pipework running to the wall reducing down to 15mm for both hot and cold. The cold is fine as it runs of main pressure but the hot tap runs at a low flow. The bathroom hot sink tap is fine wich runs on 15mm. Any ideas?
Thanks J

the tap is designed for mains pressure. check what the mi say for recommended bar rating for taps.

Have you got a Combi boiler or a hot water cylinder?

If you have a cold water tank, where is it?

how many litres per minute do you get from the bath hot tap, and how many from the basin hot tap?

Hi the water is supplied via the hot water cylinder located on the same floor. The hot water pipe goes direct from the cylinder up in to the attic where it hen drops down to the bathroom through the wall.

how long has this been happening?

told ya it's designed for mains pressure they are to slow for gravity with a max of 0.3 bar. you need atleast 0.5bar or mains at 1.0bar up. read the mi

cold water tank is in the attic feeding the hot water cylinder. The flow rate for the bath taps is aprox 5 ltr per min and the sink is approx 9 ltrs per min. The sinks hot pipe runs from the tank directly down under the floor boards, where as the bath feed up from the tank through attic and then back down. I have only fitted the taps today as fitting new bathroom.

try it with a simple ordinary bath tap then.
