Me neither. Nor on caravans (still fitted as cheaper).

OK before digital when we had Welsh and English TV, but today no.

Still do have Welsh and English TV. Also Scottish and Irish TV (in two flavours UK and RTE from the EU <ducks>).

The proper way is two antennas and frequency-selective filtered combiners... but that's not so easy post the 700 MHz clearance. In NI they provide RTE in some places from an almost co-located site so within a single antenna's acceptance angle.

As for TV on the move -- there were tests of that with DVB-H (handheld) in the early 2000s that failed to become mainstream. But it'll be with us any time now via 5G mobile phone signals.

Yes, but in the days of 5 channels, getting English TV in Wales for English speakers was clearly what we wanted, today it is not the English Welsh divide, but the non-commercial divide where these programs are not transmitted, so in real terms Freeview is pointless, either freesat, or other satellite system is really the only option to get a reasonable range of programs. If I really want to I can watch Scottish TV.

But since the cut tends to be low or in trees, it still works better than freeview, with so few channels freeview is really a legacy from a by gone age. At least in my area of Wales.

Freeview works well here, we have a choice of three uk transmission areas, even with the antenna pointed at our local transmitter. All three main TV's, will accept terrestrial and satellite, but only the living room has a sat feed. Sat works well, but it always takes me a while to work out how to swap from Freeview, to Freesat.
