Small particle appearing wood flooring

What are these small particles that keep appearing even after I hover them away?

do you mean dirt under the skirting?

I can't really see it. scrape a bit onto some clean paper.

Do you get woodlice?

Any sign of ants outside , they often deposit their litter from their "back door" which could be behind the skirting.

Ok, good idea, I hope no one has hovered it up.

I have not seen any woodlice (assuming I even know what they look like, lets say I don't see any creepy crawlies).

OP,
Why not remove a length of the skirting, & post a pic of whats behind it?
Also why not post a pic showing the outside wall - ground level area?
