Hi all, the walls in my flat (approx 200yr old) are Lime Lathe & Plaster and while generally still in good nick they have their fair share of cracks and holes where nails have been hammered in. What's the best type of filler to use for repair? I've read that modern filler doesn't play so well with lime plater.

If they're only small holes and cracks, then go for a "powdered" Polyfilla. Most of them are non shrink fillers. Be sure to clean the holes and cracks first, and also "dampen" them with a wet brush.

Thanks Roughcaster, I'll give that a go.
