So we do get Operation Moonshot

I think the idea is that lockdown will end permanently and these tests will assist in keeping the virus cantained in a fashion, and so the money saved on paying people's furlough will pay for the tests.

France is racking up a bill of an additional 125 billion simply for coming out of lockdown later than us, Macrons expertise on the vaccine rollout will add even more. UK is doing OK.

Nope...

"Government documents released on Monday said virus certificates - that prove if someone has had a vaccine, has tested negative or has immunity - were likely to become "a feature of our lives".

The 'great reset' and total control of peoples lives...

Not now sounding like a 'conspiracy theory' is it!

And France has about 75% of the UK's total deaths, despite having more cases.
Evidently they're doing something better.

I wonder what it could be?

Maybe putting some beds in an old conference centre or disused warehouse, with no nursing or medical staff, fills the gap?

Or maybe not.

The rich make always make money out of a crisis.
I don't think it's that simplistic.
I would agree that those who make money out of a crisis tend to be rich.
But the ability, opportunity or motivation of making money out of a crisis is not simply from being rich.
Ability is down to innovation and expertise. These people may already be well rewarded for their ability anyway.
Opportunity is where you ought to concentrate your ire, I think, because it trumps or supports any other factor.
Motivation, well that could be a mixture of greed, ability and opportunity. Or it could be a genuine desire to do something useful, which perchance, pays well eventually.

£37billion for a track and trace system that doesn't work, and highly paid consultant buddies of the minister, are a good way of redistributing wealth from the taxpayer to the cronies.

Can you tell me where you got that from. What months it covers.

These tests are not accurate enough, the system needs a functioning test and trace as well as payments for people isolating. It's disjointed as mentioned by the health experts.

So it won't work and we will have another wave but be another £100bn poorer. They expect to spend £407bn over two years on covid not including this moonshot. Our debt has climbed to £2.13tn.
